Amazing place to relax get away. The yoga classes are great, and the massages are super! Can't wait to go back

The owners are nice, the decor is awesome, and the view is beautiful! However, some of the other guests didn't seem to understand the whole idea of "retreat" and were up and being loud until 3 am, which made it difficult to sleep. We could hear them walking back and forth above our heads all night, so I'm knocking off a star for that.

Lovely location, friendly staff, and cheap summer rates. Rooms are no-frills (no fridge, etc.) but very comfortable. Knocked off one star as the Airbnb photos were slightly misleading (building was slightly more run-in than expected), but still very happy with the overall experience. Would definitely stay here again!

A preliminary disclaimer: I was in search of a hotel because I was attending a nearby wedding, not because I was in search of a retreat. Normally, I stick to 4+ star hotels, and am obsessed with cleanlieness. With that in mind, I can definitely see why people love Lotus Mountain, and also why people, well, don't love Lotus Mountain. First the pros: the retreat is located in a beautiful area with a breathtaking view of mountains, the staff is incredibly friendly, there is a cool bar and Cafe on site, a yoga/meditation room, and a sauna. All of this makes for what I can imagine would be a very relaxing long weekend. Cons: the building is deeply in need of TLC, and the rooms feel like you are staying in someone's spare room. The walls and ceilings are paper thin, so you can clearly hear conversations during the day and snoring at night. The windows, doors, and bathrooms all seem to be in some state of disrepair, though they are all sprinkled with crystals. Lastly, the part that lost me, was that it was clear that the rooms, and really the entire building, is seldom cleaned (spider webs everywhere, dust bunnies, dirty walls, etc.). Overall: if you're a stickler for cleanliness and/or are looking for a place to stay rather than an experience, stay elsewhere. If, however, you are looking for a retreat full of heart warming soul and opportunities for relaxation, and you can look past the unkempt facilities, then this will be right up your alley.

Nice atmosphere good food. Very relaxing
